thanks for being so sweet

Happy {Friends with Flair Friday}, ya'll! Goodness, I can't believe it's Friday- this was one of those weeks that just flew by for me. We're eagerly awaiting our little one's arrival, but I'm also trying to cherish these last few days/weeks of it being just the two of us ;)

So I had to make some thank-you cards for baby gifts and decided to play along at a few Unity challenges! This little card uses two KOMs- the sentiment (although not pictured on their site) really is from {Rockin it Unity Style} and the image is from my first KOM, now retired {Wherever You Go}.
This card uses the "door" theme from March Unity Challenge (yup! playing along twice in one month!) and the sketch from the Unity KOM Sketch Challenge. I flipped the sketch horizontally, and you can really see it when you open the door and see the sentiment!

baby carriage .:2 ways:. Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of my mini series! It all started because I love {this stamp} from Unity :) Today's card combines a few challenges as well! It's been a while since I've taken part in some challenges, so read on to see where I drew inspiration. Of course since it's Friday, I'm taking part in Friends with Flair Friday over at Unity!! Check out all the amazing creations there :)

This card is a bit more complex than {yesterday's Day 1 card} using this stamp. Actually, it kinda turned out to be a pain in the butt to make! But I'm happy with the end result, so that's all that matters, right? And it's for a great friend who I know will appreciate it :)

To make this card, first I had to pick out the color scheme- I went with contrasting blues to play along with Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge #130, and I added in a pop of kraft. Next, I cut the papers down to size and cut out the window using a PTI die, to play along with the window/door theme for the Unity March Challenge. Then I used my stamp positioner thingy to line up the stamps correctly. Stamping the kraft window was the biggest challenge- I had to line up the stamp with the previously stamped carriages, then carefully take away the light blue paper so that I was only stamping on the kraft paper- neat effect, but it took a few tries to move the blue paper and not the kraft paper and stamp positioner! But once I got over that hurdle it was all down hill- adhered all the layers, stamped the sentiment, and added a few buttons! Ta-da!
Well, I hope you enjoyed seeing this stamp used in two quite different ways! One is a super simple application, and one's a bit more involved, but I like them both :) Have a fabulous weekend, friends!!

baby carriage .:2 ways:. Day 1

Hey ya'll! SO sorry it's been a while- DH finally came home from his mini-deployment and we've had family in town for the past two weeks, so I've been spending time with the loved ones :) Not to mention getting the baby's room ready!! Coming down to the wire now, and I still have lots of cute baby projects to share hehe ;) Anyhoo, onwards to the card!!

I love {this stamp} from Unity, and today is Day 1 of a "mini-series" if you will... I have a few friends that are also expecting, and I've made cards to go along with their gifts, so I wanted to share! They both use this stamp, and here's the first card... Pretty simple- green/tan/brown, a few layers, some ribbon, scallops, and pearls- love it :)
