The theme of our hop is "Going Green" in honor of Saint Patrick's Day and in honor of our environment :) Our fearless leader, Samantha, has given us yet again an amazing color swatch to work with- turquoise, lime green, and white! This time she threw in a twist- use something "green" as in something recycled :) It's been a great chance to think outside the box and, instead of going out and buying new stash, using some old stash and some not-usually-stash stash! ;)
::Cardboard and Paper Bags::
SO, on to my project! Here's my take on a paper bag album- the cover is a scrap piece of cardboard that I cut in half to make the front and back covers. I busted out my Unity background stamp and my Martha Stewart ink and got those great distressed dots :) The chipboard letters are a mix of Target and JoAnn goodies, while the shamrocks are a QuickCutz die that I recently picked up at my LSS's garage sale :) I used my Crop-A-Dile to put some great eyelets in the covers and bound it with some ribbon from Michaels. Now the inside pages, those are a paper bag that I cut down to be just a touch smaller than the covers, and used some colored MakingMemories staples to adhere more great ribbon from Michaels- being Irish, i LOVE the dark green ribbon with the great Celtic knot pattern :) I actually got that ribbon in the clearance bin a while back!
