Kitchen decor

So I'm a Disney child at heart. My parents recently went to Disney World and brought back a large assortment of coffees for us. They're mini-cans, about 3" tall and they're lined up along the back of our stove hehe. My husband and I really like coffee, and so I decided to take the packing description paper-piece thingy and make it into additional decor for our kitchen wall! Although the frame is currently wrapped in ribbon (to make it match our wine-burgundy kitchen decor), I think I'll soon buy some spray paint to change up the frame color.


Vellum: The Paper Company, Brads: MakingMemories, Ribbon: Christmas Tree Shops

Steps to Create:
Remove glass from frame. Wrap frame in ribbon. Replace glass. Print out coffee-themed words onto vellum paper. Add vellum layer over background paper of desired color. Back Disney paper with brown cardstock and attach with brads at corners to background papers. Insert into frame, and enjoy!

Soldier sentiment

I created this sign because my husband often came home from work stressed out (and often left for work already stressed out...). So this sign is proudly displayed in our entry way, just as a little reminder to both of us. I had received this frame a few years back and finally found the perfect use for it! I originally got the idea for this when I saw the saying, "keep calm and carry on," then altered it to our Army lifestyle.

Steps to Create:
(1) Print out sentiment on vellum
(2) cut background paper to desired size
(3) adhere vellum to background with brads
(4) place in frame and hang!

Scripture art

Again, our bathroom is decorated in the Army's colors- black and gold. So I used one of the scripture readings from our wedding as inspiration for more bathroom art!


Scripture: Colossians 3:12-17, Vellum: The Paper Company, Felt: from WalMart

Steps to Create:
(1) used an old frame I had lying around
(2) wrapped a piece of cardboard in felt (gold felt in my case)
(3) printed out scripture on vellum
(4) backed vellum on black cardstock
(5) layered the vellum, cardstock, and felt
(6) adhere using gold brads
(7) frame, hang, and enjoy!
