Happy NSB Day!!

Hey all!!
Wow, I didn't realize how long it's been since I've been on here! So sorry to have left you hangin- many of you know what it's like when you have a little one around- things just get a bit crazy! ;)

Anyhoo, in honor of National Scrapbooking Day, I got to working a bit more on finishing my December Daily/Disney "mini" album! It's a strange size, and has lots of paper bits sticking off the edges- so to protect it, I'll be keeping it in this "keepsake" bag from the trip! Perfect!

Here's a close up of the tag. An homage to both Disney (see the Mickey ears sticking out at the top?!) and of course Christmas 2012 since it's my December Daily album too :)

So here's a look at the cover! Since we were actually in Disney World on Christmas day, the big tree on the front here is actually what our "Christmas tree" was this past year :P It had a pop up base so it stood up- it served its purpose, we put the few gifts we brought down on the table around the tree, hehe. The trip itself was the main gift this year for the family :)

Here's a close up of the title part of the album- a mix of Christmas decor and a castle diecut in honor of Cinderella's Castle- the main icon of Disney World's flagship park, Magic Kingdom :)

I hope to be back here throughout the upcoming weeks to share the rest of the album with ya!! It's kinda a mini album mixed with a smash album feel... happy scrapbooking day!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Interchangeable St Patty's Day Wreath

Today I've posted over on my homemaking blog, His Frugal Servant~ here's a sneak peek!

So today's post is a bit of a re-post from {last year}, but updated to include this year's wreath! When I created this wreath last year, I wanted it to be reusable, so all of the decorations are pinned on! Super simple solution to avoid wrapping twine around umpteen different wreath bases (I also use this wreath base for my Mother's Day wreath and my spring wreath)! So check out the original wreath and this year's wreath, and read on for a tutorial on how I made it!

Check out the {Tutorial Here}!

floral thanks

Happy Sunday, all!! Today's card is inspired by Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger!

I loved the blue, but wanted a darker blue for a background. I ended up adding in the light blue (from the chair) in a strip along the bottom and in the gems.

I also was inspired by the two tone pinks in the flowers and some of the stitching, so I used those colors for my floral stamps. It's a bit hard to see, but there's a light pink floral "shadow" stamped too! I also added in a bit more of the light pink via the ribbon tab on the edge of the sentiment panel.

Ingredients::
stamps by Verve
inks by Memento
papers by Bazzill Basics (light blue) and DCWV (dark blue)gems from Michaels
ribbon and sentiment panel paper were from my scrap pile

Happy Friends with Flair Friday ya'll!! :) Unfortunately nearly all of my Unity stampsare still in storage {boo!} but this guy was hanging out in my scrap bin, leftover from another card I made some time ago- it's from an older KOtM.  So I added a scrap piece of embossed paper, paired it with some chipboard letters and added some gems! This will be the perfect birthday card for my friend's son :) It's a fun little kids card, I'd say!

Have a great weekend, and if you're in the northeast- stay safe!!! Keeping you in prayer- I have lots of friends and family that are in Nemo's path.

cardboard thanks

Nothing like last minute entering!! This card is for the Moxie Fab "stamp with a homemade stamp" challenge. See that strip of cardboard there... well I used a slightly larger piece to make that background "stamp!" I pressed it into some Memento white ink and then "stamped" the cardstock. Afterwards, I layered on a PTI sentiment with some more Memento ink, added a few jewels and it's a fun little card :)

bon voyage

Today I'm again playing along over at Moxie Fab World, this time with their Make Your Own Background challenge. The two arrow Martha Stewart stamps I arranged together on my acrylic block and inked them up with some Memento inks, stamping them repeatedly to create the background.

I added in some washi tape, layered on the Bon Voyage MS sentiment and topped it off with a few gems. I love the postage/travel feel that it took on!

Hola leaf

Today I'm playing along with one of the Moxie Fab challenges- Make an Itty Bitty Card. This one fits the bill, measuring in at 2.8" x 2.8" square.

The swirl stamp is by PTI, and unfortunately I can't recall who the sentiment is by (that info is still packed up in my craft boxes from the move...). The negative leaf die cut was a leftover in my scraps box, and is really what inspired the whole card.

runway dots

So this is the first time I'm playing along over at Runway Inspired Challenge! Clothes can definitely be a great source of inspiration, and I had fun with this!! Here's where my inspiration came from...
1) Colored dots: I think that's fairly obvious ;)
2) Curled bottom corner: the rolled-over neckline
3) Butterfly: maybe it's just the way the fabric is folded, or maybe not, but I see a purple butterfly on the upper torso of the dress

The inks are all Memento, and the stamps are all PTI. The butterfly punch is by MS, and it's embossed with a PTI plate.

celery wisteria thanks

Yup- another two-card day! So many fun challenges I wanted to join in on, so this card is to play along with the Color Throwdown colors this week! Yup, more thank you notes hehe. I can't wait to find the rest of my craft boxes and get them unpacked so I can start adding a little more dimension to my cards... but for now I'm trying to get creative with one-layeredness!

The image stamps are all by PTI. Unfortunately I can't recall who the sentiment is by... The inks are all Memento. And of course I had to throw in some gems for a bit of sparkle!
