Welcome to Scrapbook News and Review Magazine's A Faith Perspective Thanful for Friends Faith Blog Hop. Today, we're out in force on the internet -- showing our faith and giving the glory to God. United, we stand as Christian paper crafters and blow owners to make a presence on the internet for all to see. We're celebrating the theme of friends and we're happy to share our projects with based on the verse:

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. " Ecc4:9-10a

And now the deets of my project...

I wanted to share with you an Advent calendar that I made for my husband. He is currently serving our country overseas, so he won't be home for Christmas this year. Christmas is such a special time isn't it? The birth of our Saviour Lord Jesus! Really, what better and more joyous time of year is there? It will be a bittersweet Christmas without him, but He truly makes the deployment separation easier. Praise God! :)

There were obviously a lot of supplies, hehe, so if you have any questions, just leave them in the comments and I'll be sure to get back to you ASAP :)

UPDATE: I've been getting a few questions, so figured I'd update this a touch, hehe. The basic supplies were a styrafoam circle covered in fabric, adhered with hot glue. The tins are by Wilton and run ~$20 for a bucket of 30 at Michaels. Again, the tins were also attached with hot glue! I used my nestabilities to cut out the circles adhered to many of the tins' covers. Most of the DP is from a DCWV stack from JoAnns, and many of the stickers and rub-ons are from Michaels by K&Co and Pooch & Sweetheart {$1 bin}. You can't see it well, but around the outside rim of the base runs a strip of dark green ribbon, I think from the clearance bin at Michaels.

Also, this project works so well with Verve's Home for the Holidays project parade :)
EDIT: well this waaaas for Verve's project parade, but now it's out for publication :D check back later in the year for photos!

The next stop on this blog hop is: Maria Matter.

Thanks so much for taking the time to let me share with you. Enjoy the rest of your hop! God bless :)

thinking of you flower

here's a cute card that I used some pebbles stickers on. I also made two matching cards with smaller flowers and chocolate backgrounds... I had been itching to use these stickers I got in a blog candy, and after viewing Jared in Kansas' shop with all the lovely floral photos {this week's EtsyInspired Challenge shop!} I was feeling inspired, hehe, and whipped out the stickers to craft this card!
